Calling the Zahnfee!

Zahnfee (Tooth Fairy), we have a customer!

After weeks of wiggling, Abbie is proud to report the loss of her first tooth. Her school friends have been giving her advice all week about how to accelerate the process. Today, her friend Lara said to "absolutely not let your Dad pull it as it really hurts," and her friend Stella said "it will definitely come out tonight!" As it was getting to be bedtime, Abbie was a bit concerned that it wouldn't happen tonight and she didn't want to disappoint Stella, so she let her Dad do a bit of wiggling and voila - she had a tooth in hand! (Mom tried to wiggle earlier in the day, but apparently is a softie and couldn't do the final tug.)


The downside to the international school -- she learns about traditions around the world and has reported that some kids in her class get presents and do special activities to celebrate the loss of the first tooth. She wants to know exactly what I have planned as a celebration for tomorrow. First we have to leave out a shoe for St. Nikolaus and his evil side-kick, now we're throwing parties for missing teeth. I can only imagine what the rest of the year will bring!
